vibrant and diverse neighborhoods of Dallas!

Whether you're seeking a neighborhood with a rich artistic scene, a bustling foodie haven, or a tranquil oasis, our guide will ensure you find the neighborhood that matches your lifestyle and interests.

LAKEWOOD

Suburban in feel but not far from the city’s center, the East Dallas / Lakewood area is bordered by White Rock Lake, a benefit that nature-loving locals take great delight in. Take your pick from new estates with considerable acreage or cozier bungalows that date back to the 20s and 30s.

PARK CITIES

University Park and Highland Park anchor the area known as Park Cities, a few miles north of downtown Dallas. Self-governing and with their own joint school district, they comprise the wealthiest patch of real estate in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Illustrious dining and shopping along Lovers Lane, as well as high-quality public educational opportunities.

LAKE HIGHLANDS

Built up during a housing boom in the 60s and 70s, this sprawling northeast Dallas neighborhood is quite straightforwardly named for both its proximity to White Rock Lake and elevated topography.

PRESTON HOLLOW

Preston Hollow is home to many of the richest people in Dallas—and a certain former president of the United States—but the majority of its streets are lined with modest ranch-style homes. Many residents take advantage of the neighborhood’s close proximity to the top private schools in the city, as well as the plethora of shops found at nearby Preston-Royal, Preston Center, and NorthPark Center.

M STREETS

Farmland was neatly subdivided in the 1910s and 1920s to create a few of the city’s oldest neighborhoods. The M Streets (also knows as Greenland Hills) and Vickery Place have Craftsman cottages that give the area its signature historic charm.

OAK CLIFF

Once an independent city just across the Trinity River and southwest of downtown, much of the city’s southern sector has come to be known by the name “Oak Cliff.” Within this zone sit a diverse array of neighborhoods— some among the trendiest in Dallas — attracting residents committed to making them even better.
